NEW UPGRADED 460 ESPRIT & ELITE ARE OUT NOW

Based on the comments and requests from our customers over the years we have made some significant changes on our flagship 460 models and we are now coming out with upgraded Esprit and Elite which will take your breath away!! 

Many would say these boats were great before but now they are perfect. Let us walk your through what is new from April 2024. 

FLEXIBLE JOINT ON THE MAST

The mast is now mounted on a flexible joint, so the mast assembly will be much easier and even the less physically fit users can manage. 

JIB HALYARD

The hoist jib rope (halyard) will be stretched over the hoist on the mast, so the front edge of the jib sail will be at much greater tension, hence the sail will not sag as much.

MAST SPREADERS

The mast (both aluminum and carbon) will be equipped with mast spreaders, spacers to the anchor lines, so the mast will flex much less and this will contribute to its strength and stiffness.

DYNEEMA ROPES SHROUDS

Mast ropes – shrouds, will be made of Dyneema ropes giving a weight saving gain, enhanced strength, plus these are also more pleasant to the touch compared to stainless steel wires.

TRAVELLER FOR JIB

On the front part of the frame there will be eyelets and orca reins on the traveller (alloy rail). An original Ronstan system is used here. This allows the sailor to set the angle of the jib opening whilst sailing. Currently only one position is possible. To enable this change, the trampoline design is also modified.
