MiniCat GUPPY was first introduced in early 2018 and redesigned in 2022 and since then we sold over 500 pieces and it proved to be a fantastic boat especially for those who are looking for a fun, easy, and reasonably-priced first sailing catamaran.
The redesigned MiniCat GUPPY is still all about the simplicity and speed of assembly. Due to the specially developed design of floats already fixed with the frame of the boat the set up takes you 15 minutes from start to finish. GUPPY is also exceptionally light (just 27 kg) and with grab-handles on the trampoline manipulation is easy especially for children.
But the new MiniCat GUPPY features flexible composite mast fixed simply in the frame with no anchoring lines which makes the boat much safer in strong winds as the mast flexes and prevents the sailor from easily capsizing. It also makes the assembly easier and quicker. There are other changes such as the diameter of the hulls and positioning of the keel fins which improves the sailing characteristics of this little boat.
